Reception to Unveil Restored Mason-Dixon Instrument

September 22, 2015, Baltimore, MD --  A reception, ceremony, and unveiling of the restored Bird Transit famously used by Charles Mason and Jeremiah Dixon in their iconic 1760s survey of the Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania border will be on Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Maryland Historical Society, 201 W. Monument Street, Baltimore, MD 21201.
 
Surveyors and other geospatial professionals from across the country, and the general public, are invited.
 
The event will be held during the joint conference of the Maryland Society of Surveyors and Maryland Society of Professional Engineers. Admission to the reception for MSS/MSPE members is $75 and $100 for the general public. The event includes a program and reception.
