Toronto, Ontario – July 18, 2005: GeoTango, a leading supplier of 3D/2D mapping and visualization software, announced today that it has entered into a distribution agreement with PCI Geomatics, a leading developer of image-centric geomatics software. Under the agreement PCI and its worldwide reseller network will resell SilverEye, GeoTango’s 3D building and measurement software.
SilverEye is the best way to rapidly generate 3D models of urban areas and facilities of interest. It uniquely builds 3D models and can obtain 2D and 3D measurements using only a single satellite or aerial image. Building textures can be applied using information from the imagery, employing a texture library or from ground photographs. Unlike traditional solutions SilverEye does not require stereo image pairs and expensive hardware systems. Results can be exported to popular GIS and OpenFlight formats.
