Intergraph to Keynote International Conference of the Global Spatial Data Infrastructure

HUNTSVILLE, Ala—(BUSINESS WIRE)—October 31, 2006— Intergraph Corporation (NASDAQ: INGR) today announced that Chief Technology Officer Peter Batty will present a keynote address at the ninth annual International Conference of the Global Spatial Data Infrastructure (GSDI-9) in Santiago, Chile on Tuesday, November 7, 2006.

Batty will address the role of geospatial technology and standards in reducing poverty and enabling sustainable development. By sharing examples of best practices from around the globe, he will illustrate the advantages of a cohesive, interoperable, and sustainable spatial data infrastructure. Batty will also explore hurdles to establishing an effective, multi-organization system, and the ways in which these technologies can be leveraged to promote growth and prosperity for cities, towns, regions and countries.

According to Batty, "Intergraph technologies provide the foundation for multi-agency collaboration across cities, regions and countries, thereby creating a landscape conducive to information sharing. Intergraph is committed to promoting an interoperable, open data infrastructure and is proud to partner with organizations across the globe to develop standards for interoperability that will help to advance societies and promote prosperity."

Intergraph, and Sisgraph, a leading distributor of geospatial solutions, utilities and communications network management tools, and emergency incident and records management software, are both platinum sponsors of GSDI-9, which runs from November 3-11, 2006. During the conference, Intergraph, along with Sisgraph and partner VGL, will showcase solutions that empower users to create, manage, integrate and distribute spatial information for data infrastructures, public works and transportation, enterprise management and distribution, and public safety.

Also during the conference, on Wednesday, November 8, Intergraph experts will share the latest information in spatial information management through a workshop titled "Spatial Technology Infrastructure Theory and Practice." Additionally, Dr. Ignacio Guerrero, executive vice president of Technology for Intergraph Security, Government & Infrastructure will join with Sisgraph and other industry leaders in a session that examines the collaboration to develop worldwide standards in interoperability.
