Landscape Architects Announce Call for Presentations for 2010 Annual Meeting

Washington, D.C.—December 10, 2009 — Today, the American Society of Landscape Architects ( ASLA ) announced the call for presentations for the 2010 Annual Meeting and EXPO. The deadline for education session proposals is January 27, and the submission form is available at www.asla.org.

The 2010 event will take place in Washington , D.C. , September 10-13, with the theme Water, Earth, Air, Fire: DESIGN. It will be the largest gathering of landscape architecture design professionals in the world and feature a diverse spectrum of industry experts speaking on sustainability and design. More than 125 education sessions, tours and field sessions will be presented during the meeting, providing attendees with the opportunity to earn up to 21 professional development hours under the Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System. Many of the sessions will also qualify for continuing education credit with the American Institute of Architects, the American Institute of Certified Planners and other allied professional organizations.

The 2009 Annual Meeting and EXPO in Chicago featured over 400 exhibits as well as 125 tours, education sessions and seminars for the 5,100 registered attendees – the third largest attendance ever. For more information, visit www.asla.org.
