FortiusOne's GeoIQ Offers First Complete Location-Based Analytics Solution

New Features Geoenable Business Data for Powerful Visualization and Analysis in Minutes

March 08, 2010 — FortiusOne, the leading provider of Visual Intelligence, announced the addition of several new capabilities which round out the GeoIQ platform.

Along with GeoIQ's intuitive data management, analysis and visualization capabilities, FortiusOne has added powerful new geoenablement features. These new capabilities allow users to easily add non-geospatial data from spreadsheets and databases and quickly transform it into georeferenced data for collaborative mapping. GeoIQ now delivers a complete data visualization and analysis workflow, enabling non-technical users to more quickly and effectively visualize
and share actionable information for better decision making.

While mapping visualization solutions have become powerful tools for business and government, the difficulties with incorporating tabular and spreadsheet data have long frustrated users. Current offerings are limited to small data sets or are too expensive and complex for wide-spread adoption. GeoIQ is the one web-based solution that geoenables real-time, large scale data sources for analysis and visualization all within one simple workflow.

FortiusOne's geoenabling features, including geocoding and geojoin, enable any data with a location component - place names, addresses, zip codes, states, counties, sales territories or DMAs - to be combined with geographic boundaries or point locations, and then be visualized on a map. With this, you can optimize your business processes and enable decision makers across your organization to quickly and easily identify trends, opportunities and threats.

“This is a huge step toward enabling business users to leverage the value of mapping technologies," said Sean Gorman, CEO and founder of FortiusOne. “The geoenablement of tabular data has historically been a bottleneck for widespread adoption of mapping solutions. By integrating native geocoding and geojoin capabilities, GeoIQ's workflow will unleash massive amounts of data trapped in spreadsheets, databases,ERP, BI, and other business systems for location-based visualization and analysis."

  Geocoding and Geojoin

Get your data on the map! Geocode addresses and place names to easily pinpoint your data on a map. FortiusOne's geocoder supports commercial, government, and open sources of street and parcel data and is available through both the GeoIQ Enterprise and Government products as well as the free GeoCommons Community. With geojoin, you can move beyond points and easily visualize your data regionally by combining it with administrative, sales, or natural boundaries. Analyze your business data with demographics and historic data for better insight into trends and opportunities.

Batch File Upload
GeoIQ Finder is a web-based, easy to use geospatial data warehouse that allows your organization to share and utilize both your own large volume of business data as well as over 17,000 public databases available through GeoCommons. Now with batch upload, users can quickly upload multiple files at a single time in various formats saving you time and effort.

“GeoIQ changes how organizations can collaborate around and perform data analysis and visualization,” said Andrew Turner, CTO, FortiusOne. "With the increased emphasis on transparency in the government and collaboration in the enterprise, there is a need for integrated platforms that can share data and insights as well as quickly identify opportunity, risk and trends. GeoIQ enables exactly that with integrated data sharing, storage and intuitive and powerful visualizations that communicate actionable information much faster than with just a spreadsheet, chart or graph."
