Free Hyperspectral Data Cube from Deepwater Horizon well head

July 22, 2010 -- SpecTIR has made available a hyperspectral data cube showing oil in the water from near the Deepwater Horizon well site, which can be download for free from our webpage ( http://spectir.com/download.html). It does not have any associated ground truth or water samples, however there are strong SWIR signatures associated with this particular oil/dispersant mix.

In addition SpecTIR collected more than 2000 sq km of VNIR/SWIR hyperspectral data from the National Wildlife Refuge areas of the gulf. It was captured days before the oil came on shore. It can be used as baseline data for wetlands damage assesment, vegetation health, long-term monitoring and as a guide in the restoration process.

SpeTIR is global provider of end-to-end hyperspectral services and geospatial products. For More information contact Bill Bernard at 410820 5591 or Email Contact
