Hooten joins Topcon as GIS sales manager

LIVERMORE, Calif. – June 13, 2011Topcon Positioning Systems, Inc. (TPS) has named Jason Hooten as GIS sales manager for handheld products.

He comes to TPS most recently from GeoNav Group International, a Topcon business partner, where he specialized in broadening GeoNav’s product and service offerings in both navigation and vehicle tracking applications.

Hooten brings many years of experience in high-tech sales and customer service to the position, along with knowledge of the product and service needs of the electric and water utility, public safety and telecommunications industries.

Eduardo Falcon, senior vice president and general manager of the Topcon Emerging Business Unit, said, “We are excited to welcome Jason to our team. With his strong background in Topcon products and their applications as well as related industry offerings, he couldn’t be a more valuable asset to our business unit.
