MAPPS Winter Conference 2016
Date: January 31 - February 3, 2016

MAPPS is introducing two track sessions at the conference. One track is for principals, owners and partners and a second for emerging leaders - those currently in middle management positions who are the next generation of emerging leaders -- tomorrow's principals, owners and partners in MAPPS member firms.

Indonesian Peat Prize
Date: February 2 - May 11, 2016
Place: Indonesia
The Indonesian Peat Prize is an ambitious, collaborative prize for finding a more accurate, faster and affordable method of mapping the extent and thickness of Indonesian peatlands. A $1 million prize purse will be awarded to the winning team along with their invaluable contributions to establishing a better national standard for mapping peatlands in Indonesia.
Students, engineers, consultants, product directors, scientists, research institutions, companies, universities, civil society organizations, non-governmental organizations—anyone with a great idea who meets the criteria is invited to join. People or teams from around the world can join forces with Indonesian partners.
The prize is hosted by the Indonesian Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) and sponsored by the Packard Foundation.

DistribuTECH Conference & Exhibition 2016

GIM International Summit 2016

The discussion will be fuelled by speakers from outside the traditional geomatics world, all of whom are experts in their own field. They will explain the needs and desires of the wider world and how they would like to see the geomatics sector develop.

EuroCOW 2016 Workshop
Date: February 10 - 12, 2016
Place: EPFL campus
Lausanne, Switzerland

This biennial meeting intends to bring together the world experts, both from public and private sectors, to present and discuss the recent findings and developments on Sensor Calibration and Orientation. With the recent development of autonomous platforms, this traditional field of photogrammetry and geodesy integrates with robotics, computer vision and system control.

The organizers are setting the conditions for a practical, informative and informal three-day meeting in a relaxed atmosphere, and expect to attract real experts with hands-on experience in the field. The presented full papers will be published in ISPRS archives.

20th GIS/CAMA Technologies Conference

The conference features an exhibition, pre-conference workshops, keynote speakers and a substantial educational program which is developed through a review of abstract submissions received. The 2016 Conference Committee welcomes the submission of individual papers, complete sessions, panels and lightning talks and has proposed a list of suggested program tracks and topics for consideration (note that all abstracts received will be reviewed and considered for the conference program).
