With a new product release, you want the world to understand and experience its significance and value. With Intergraph Geospatial 2013, we launched more than one or two products. We launched a complete portfolio of products, touching every area of the geospatial workflow. We believe that this technology is the force behind smarter decisions, with relevance to organizations around the world.
Many organizations solely rely on marketing and communications efforts to update the marketplace on new product developments. However, Intergraph is taking it one step further by actually going on the road in support of the Intergraph Geospatial 2013 launch. This month, we are launching our world tour – a global roadshow that brings Intergraph Geospatial 2013 to key cities.
The first event took place on January 11, 2013, in Calcutta, India. Next week, we have a large event planned in conjunction with India Geospatial Forum. With additional events planned throughout India, and the world tour continuing across North and South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia Pacific, the tour will provide a means to experience and share the excitement and significance of this release with our customers and partners directly.

Over the past several years, we have seen a rising demand for spatial data infrastructure (SDI) services, which has also been fueled by legislation mandating that public bodies publish geospatial data for enhanced collaboration with partners and customers.
Web applications provide a means for making geospatial data available for public consumption. These applications act as clients for SDI services, which are also used for developing more advanced enterprise portal. Intergraph Geospatial 2013 includes a new version of GeoMedia Smart Client. Earlier this year, Joe Francica from Directions Magazine made the following statement about this significant offering:
