A few weeks ago, I attended the 2017 ENVI Analytics Symposium (EAS) in Denver, CO.
The Symposium was put together by Harris Geospatial Solutions. Harris developed ENVI, image analysis software for image scientists, image analysts, and GIS professionals to extract accurate and meaningful information from many kinds of data.
ENVI is designed to be used by anyone who relies on imagery and data to make decisions and provides expert-level results across the board, regardless of a user’s prior experience with imagery.
ENVI is flexible and can be customized to meet specific project needs and can be deployed and accessed from the desktop, in the cloud, and on mobile devices. Fully integrated with ArcGIS for Desktop and ArcGIS for Server from ESRI, users can access ENVI tools directly within the Arc environment to add image analysis capabilities to their GIS models and applications.

The video below is a panel discussion held at Stanford GSB: Cemex Auditorium at the Knight Management Center on October 22nd, 2014. Moderator is Amaresh Kollipara, Principal, Space Angels Network, and Managing Partner, Earth2Orbit. The panelists are:
Dramatic disruptions to Earth observation are being delivered by ambitious startups that are launching large fleets of small, interconnected satellites and developing cutting-edge analytics. The number of earth-gazing satellites has nearly doubled in 2014 alone. With views into daily global activity being refreshed at a faster rate than ever before, selling raw pixels and signals is not enough to satisfy industry demands. It is these startups that are changing how we use Big Data in business here on earth.

This is a presentation from the 2014 Autodesk University.
The need—and the ability—to innovate is greater than ever. New ways of working are needed to create our evolving society. Every system you design, from the electrical grid that lights and heats our homes, to water system that supports life, to the railroads on which we travel, to the refineries that provide the gasoline for our cars—underwrites a US$53 trillion demand for new or replacement infrastructure. Hear about the future of how infrastructure will be made, and the trends in technology that will radically transform the way you, as industry professionals, plan, design, deliver, and operate tomorrow’s infrastructures by moving infrastructure delivery into a new era.

GISCafe.Com is exhibiting at the Intergeo 2014 conference in Germany on October 7-9. We are recording video interviews at our booth at the conference. Any conference attendee or exhibitor can book a time slot for an interview. Each interview is typically 3 – 10 minute long.
We are also doing a KindleFire Sweepstakes at the conference. The drawing will be on October 9th.
To add a little fun to the conference, we are asking the conference attendees to share a joke in front of the video camera. The best jokes will be edited together in a video montage. The jokes have to be clean and funny.
Here is one of the interviews we recorded last year which has received more than 2,000 views:

Sensor, packet, video and signal data is not only all-digital and collected around the clock but it is also scaling up in size and resolution. The resulting massive surge in storage required to save it all is either a problem for your organization – or a major opportunity.
Plotting geophysical trends, tracking industrial changes or monitoring surveillance imagery requires both broad area spectral analysis and high resolution digital images. Ideally, you can combine multiple inputs for richer analysis to help make the most informed decision as close to real-time as you can get.
