ArcGIS Tutorials by KnowGIS

KnowGIS has been publishing a lot of ArcGIS tutorials on Youtube. Here are a select few:
Points to Lines in ArcGIS Desktop for Android Phone GPS Mapping
This short tutorial provides an overview of methods and techniques used to map a bike route and import the data into ArcGIS Desktop 10. Comma separated values (CSV), GPX and KML files are used as part of the tutorial. A short discussion on recreational grade verses professional mapping grade GPS is followed by a discussion on using data obtained from a GPS-enabled smart phone. Points are converted to lines using ArcGIS Desktop.
A short discussion is presented comparing mapping grade GPS receivers, survey grade GPS receivers, and recreation grade GPS receivers.
Image Registration using ArcGIS 10
This tutorial focuses on ArcGIS Desktop’s powerful interactive raster and image registration tools. This tutorial reviews link tables, image sources, and the use of vector point data to facilitate image registration.
Resampling methods, transformation methods, and a discussion of orthorectification are provided.
Raster data obtained by scanning maps or aerial images usually do not contain information that tells where the image fits on the earth’s surface. The task of Georeferencing raster data defines where the data lies in map coordinates.
This tutorial is hosted by Jere Folgert.
Creating a Route and Hatches using ArcGIS Desktop
During this tutorial, a route is generated for use in Rural Addressing. Routes are created using an ArcView License of ArcGIS Desktop v 10.x. A measure is applied to the route, routes are displayed using hatches or hatch marks, and the Route Identify Tool is used to facilitate the generation of a new rural address. This tutorial provides a demonstration of using routes to implement the Frontage Interval Addressing System.
