Automated Image Geo-coding
Ricoh’s Pro G3 high-resolution digital camera provides
the definitive solution for GIS workflows that utilize
ground-based images. Overcoming the burdens of
traditional methods of geo-imaging, the Ricoh solution
integrates GPS technology directly into the camera to
geo-code images as they are captured.
A CompactFlash slot on the camera allows for insertion
of a GPS card for a single-unit solution. For applications
that require even greater precision, the camera can
receive NMEA data from external GPS units that support
Bluetooth.
