information online and offer GIS
functionality to the end-user. Because the
ASC accesses the power of Cadcorp SIS –
Spatial Information System desktop GIS
software, sites can be as simple or as
complex as required. These online
applications range from simple map
images returned from user queries i.e.
‘show me the nearest’, to complex
thematic mapping tools or online drawing
facilities.
