Logistics is critical to society as we know it. Almost
everything we consume is transported from the source
to the consumer via our logistical system. Even as the
Internet and e-commerce are threatening many of the
historical parts of the supply chain, such as sales
people and retail stores, the one thing it has not been
able to eliminate is the transportation of the goods to
the consumer. One of the most dramatic effects of ecommerce
is to increase the demand for couriers.
