ArcGIS 9.2 introduces a new method of maintaining a historical record of your data, called geodatabase archiving. When archiving is enabled, changes to your datasets are recorded and can later be queried to view the state of features at any point in history. This discussion describes how the geodatabase implements this archiving capability and includes general topics about historical data.
