In 2002 the city of Boston built a charismatic new bridge--the cable-stayed Leonard Zakim Bridge. Many places that were previously undistinquished now have new value because of views or potential to create views of this new icon for the city. Likewise, some of these windfall view corridors may be threatened because of view-seeking development that may happen in between.
