Mindia Brown is the Information Systems Manager at the Virginia Department of Forestry (VDOF), a Special Achievement in GIS Award winner. The VDOF recently developed the Integrated Forest Resource Information System (IFRIS). Brown discusses the process and results of developing this centralized Web-based enterprise information system that integrates GIS functionality.
