The rationalization of road asset management provides the tools and structure to set goals, identify priorities, advance processes, and measure results to demonstrate an improved performance of a road network. Under this framework, the Greek state initiated a major project for asset data collection in 1000 km of the national road network. The goal is to establish a system-methodology of data collection on site, employing the most current technologies.
