Alaska Communications Systems (ACS) is a statewide telecommunications company. It serves three-quarters of the Alaska’s population in some 74 communities.
ACS was awarded a large multi-year contract with the State of Alaska to provide telecommunication services to some 24,000 State employees. GeoNorth was asked to join the ACS project team along with Computer Associates, the vendor, to configure the web-based automated service delivery system. The overriding goal was to meet the customer (State of Alaska) as well as the owner’s business (ACS) needs.
