Over two days in May 2010, the
City of Nashville and much of
Western Tennessee was pounded
by 17 inches of rain, more than
twice the rainfall ever recorded for
a similar period in that area. The
raging flood waters eventually left
11 residents dead and inflicted $2
billion in property damage.
