Leica ADE Remote is a unique web ready spatial editor which supports three levels of architecture. With Leica ADE Remote, customers can manage data locally (Files on disk), connect directly to Oracle, or connect to Leica ADE Enterprise deployed on the middle tier application server. This enables editing of Oracle 9i/10g Spatial geometries and attribute data in the field. Leica ADE Remote leverages the complete Oracle technology stack to provide a fully scaleable, robust, Oracle Spatial editing solution for the disconnected or occasionally connected user. Leica ADE Remote supports one, two or three tier system architectures. Leica ADE Remote can be connected directly to an Oracle spatial database. This direct database connect option offers a simplified architecture for customers that prefer a more conventional client server approach for their spatial editing systems. Leica ADE Remote and Leica ADE enterprise share an identical API specification. Applications developed for the web are immediately compatible for the Leica ADE Remote user.
