Planar offers many electroluminescent (EL) displays with a very thin polycarbonate film of anti-glare (AG) coating laminated onto the display. By providing a microscopically rough surface, the resulting construction diffuses glare while transmitting 90% of the luminance of the clear display glass. As shown in Figure 1, the addition of this bonded film scatters the specular reflection, greatly reducing glare and improving viewability.
