The Kodama region, located in northern Saitama, Japan, is a forested “Green Belt” region next to the metropolis of Tokyo. The Kodama Forestry Association has jurisdiction over 5,400 hectares
(13,343 acres) of the region’s privately owned forests and has been innovative in supplying stable forestry resources throughout the region.
