For Dallas-based ONCOR (TXU's new energy delivery business), longevity in the utilities market is a point of pride. The company has been serving customers since the 1900s. It maintains a client base of multiple electric resellers that in turn serve 2.7 million Retail Electric Provider (REP) customers, and an additional 1.4 million natural gas customers. They also possess one of the largest energy infrastructures in the world, with 13,000 miles of electrical transmission lines, 91,000 miles of distribution lines, and 30,000 miles of main
pipes.
