With development surging around their Phoenixarea farming operations in the mid 1980s, brothers Clyde and David Sharp purchased land near Roll, Arizona, 30 miles east of Yuma near the Gila River. “We relocated here because of the good, efficient irrigation system they had, which fit right into the type of farming we wanted to do,” says David Sharp.
