The use of high res and very accurate Streetview and related data are entering the professional market, especially for local authorities with more detailed survey and maintenance planning solutions.
Selected myVR Software
The Spanish company Geograma selected myVR as their software technology partner based upon myVR’s strong multi platform and data type support combined with myVR’s unique focus on the “liquid experience across any device”
- We selected myVR’s technology based upon the combination of functionality and quality. The technology provides us with a fast route to launch products. This is an important contribution to a great user experience says Alejandro Guinea de Salas, CEO of Geograma GIS S.L.
The implementation of solutions, based on Mobile Mapping, allows for a more flexible management of the municipality’s road and by extension all the infrastructure located there. Geograma integrates all available source material existing on the customer side, such as ortophotos, provincial cartography at different scales, projects and recent map updates. By going this route, without costly investments or complicated projects, municipal technicians get the best information available to them at any time.
Unique technology and image quality
myVR Software patented technology platform enables high-resolution real-time interactive network streaming of 3D geometry and graphics over networks with even limited bandwidth (+256kbps) on any client platform.
The viewing technology enables powerful presentations with 3D measurement and navigation in streetview.
- In addition to that myVR’s flash based 3D StreetView technology handles images at a very high resolution it also includes a unique LiDAR support creating new opportunities for more powerful usage of streetview data in professional applications, comments Rune Fjellvang, CEO in myVR Software.
The special streaming technology, ”Smart tile” format is designed to automatically adjusts itself to the local hardware resources available so it will work even on older computers, while maintaining the high resolution and the “3D experience”.
Geograma’s GM2 Solutions, based on the mass capture of 360-degree panoramic images allows for the generation and management of inventories in a easy to use environment for the operator, providing all kinds of information about the real world in a single application or web browser, reducing drastically the number of required visits in the field. They offer a new view of the real world.
The new Software Development Kits from myVR is powerful and flexible and comes with a wide range of sample code providing the customers a fast-track to launch their own applications and solutions based upon the myVR technology.
The new 3D viewing SDK for multiple platforms from myVR Software enables and enhances the user experience and with myVR 3D viewing engine, the intuitive and interactive functionality contributes to increasing end user engagement.
- Our 3D technology platform opens for many new possibilities, and we clearly see that the market is discovering new business opportunities related to our powerful tools for the online 3D mapping market. We have just seen the start of an exciting new development when it comes to online map oriented solutions, concludes Rune Fjellvang.
