  • Redlands, California—January 23, 2012 - In its Business Benefits of GIS survey, Esri asks electric utility professionals to assess their use of GIS in terms of return on investment (ROI). Participants will have an opportunity to compare their own GIS work to that of peers in the industry. Utilities can participate in the survey by visiting esri.com/utilitysurvey.

Once the survey closes on February 17, 2012, Esri's survey team will compile and analyze the results. Respondents will receive a free copy of The Business Benefits of GIS for Electric Utilities: A Benchmark Report.

"We are interested in learning more about how utility professionals apply geospatial solutions to common challenges," said Bill Meehan, Esri's director of utility solutions. "The benchmark report will help utility managers and GIS professionals assess their applications and identify areas that could benefit from an expansion of geospatial technology."
