  • NEWTOWN, PA - January 18, 2012 - Opvantek, Inc. announces the Fourth Annual Optimain User Conference, to be held in Denver (Broomfield), Colorado on March 28-29, 2012 at The Omni Interlocken Resort. We are pleased to invite our customers to come together again to share best practices, provide feedback, view product enhancements, and help shape product development. In working to meet regulatory requirements, including DIMP, companies have gained a better understanding of the amounts and types of data they are collecting. "For some, they are finding that while data may be plentiful, information gaps may still exist", says Opvantek President Andy Benedict. "Our job is to help our customers transform volumes of data into infrastructure knowledge, and allow them to move from insights and best estimates to informed asset management decisions."

Tony Sileo, Optimain Product Manager, notes that in 2011, many of our customers were focusing on Optimain DS enhancements to support their initial Distribution Integrity Management plans. Specifically, we focused on service pipe risk, outage management, interfacing with hydraulic modeling software, and developing concepts such as open leak density to further optimize resource allocation. Our customers are continuing to drive product development and innovation as they recognize that Optimain DS provides an excellent foundation for risk assessments and capital planning decisions. Topics for the upcoming meeting will include:

    • Optimain DS modules - including Enhanced Planning, active corrosion monitoring, regulator station risk, Optimain GPS (GIS Placement Suite) for all types of assets and events, and an update of risk assessments on non-pipe assets
    • Optimain ACM - provides strategic asset management and compliance support, interfacing with any GIS, work management system, and field data capture device to support leak survey and leak management, CP system management, M&R station inspections, and all DOT Part 192 requirements
    • Optimain xDR - interfaces with One-Call data systems to provide a near real-time, graphic representation of third party damage risk
    • Transmission Integrity Management Solutions - proposed rules resulting from recent high-profile incidents, as well as nearly ten years of lessons-learned, are prompting operators to re-visit their transmission integrity management plan and tools. Opvantek welcomes the opportunity to engage our customers in developing an integrated distribution / transmission integrity management solution.

Opvantek customers who are interested in attending the conference can register at optimain2012.eventbrite.com.
