  • February 02, 2012 -- Europa Technologies has today announced an additional offering for the mobile telecom industry to provide accurate and up-to-date coverage information.

This builds on the recently announced services Network Insight Pro and Global Coverage Analyzer and extends the company’s alliance with American Roamer, the curator of the world’s largest wireless coverage database.

CellMaps is a comprehensive platform for the development of fully customised coverage map solutions. It supports both domestic and international coverage and a wide range of mobile voice/data telecommunication technologies.

While the existing Network Insight Pro service provides a simple, out-of-the-box solution, applications based on CellMaps can be designed from scratch to meet demanding and exacting customer requirements, including support for cross-border roaming coverage.

Multiple maps can be deployed to reflect additional technologies, show different patterns to subscribers on varying service packages or to offer support staff internal-only views of proprietary information. Retail store locations or any other points of interest can also be represented.

Coverage map solutions based on the CellMaps platform are easy to integrate into a service provider’s web site. Once implemented, the service operates in a virtually maintenance-free mode with regular coverage map updates handled automatically. The full coverage map catalogue is reviewed quarterly.

The CellMaps platform supports a number of base maps including Europa Technologies’ own global data product range. This includes support for a variety of languages including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Japanese, Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Russian and Hebrew.

“We are delighted to offer the CellMaps platform as a complement to our Network Insight Pro service”, said Warren Vick, Founder and Director of Europa Technologies. “Our support for the CellMaps platform underlines our strong partnership with American Roamer and affirms our united position as industry leaders in coverage mapping.”
