Two sets of technologies, commonly referred to as HTML5 and CSS3, make it easier than ever before for web developers and designers to build innovative, elegant, and state-of-the-art sites and applications.

To learn how to get the most out of these new technologies when working with ArcGIS, tune in to the free live training seminar Using HTML5 with ArcGIS on February 23, 2012. During this seminar, the presenters will offer tips and recommendations on how to use HTML5 and CSS3, along with JavaScript, to improve web mapping applications built with ArcGIS API for JavaScript. The seminar will also cover how ArcGIS Online uses HTML5 technologies and how they improve the ArcGIS Online user experience.

The presenters will define HTML5 and the associated technologies, describe some components of HTML5 that can be used today, and demonstrate how components of HTML5 can be used with web applications built using ArcGIS API for JavaScript and ArcGIS Online.

After watching this seminar, you will better understand

  • What technologies are considered part of HTML5
  • How HTML5 and CSS3 can be used with ArcGIS API for JavaScript
  • How ArcGIS Online uses HTML5
  • How to find resources for learning to develop web applications that use HTML5

New and experienced web developers who want a better understanding of integrating HTML5 with ArcGIS are encouraged to attend this live training seminar. Prerequisites include a basic understanding of HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS.
