(TOKYO:6981) (ISIN:JP3914400001) announced it has completed the acquisition of the high-power amplifier (PA) business of Renesas Electronics Corporation ("Renesas") and the Nagano Device Division of Renesas Eastern Japan Semiconductor, Inc. (a wholly owned subsidiary of Renesas, located in Komoro, Nagano Prefecture; "Renesas Eastern Japan Semiconductor Nagano") on March 1st.
Murata already boasts the world's largest share of the market for front-end modules (FEM) for mobile phones, and the strengthening of its PA technology with the new acquisition will enable it to advance the integration of analogue front ends and respond to the diverse needs of its customers.
