With the new speech and sketch interfaces, soldiers can point to a location on a touchscreen map and simply speak the name of a unit or an ISR observation. The Adapx software automatically creates an object in the native ISR, planning or GIS database with the proper geospatial attributes. Sketched symbols become geo-registered MIL-STD 2525 symbols. Commanders can also add attributes to sketched objects by simply speaking as they sketch. A simple line becomes more when commanders say "main attack," "company boundary," or thousands of other natural commands as they draw.
"When soldiers plan and execute missions with sophisticated computing systems, they often struggle with cumbersome devices and inconsistent keyboard- and menu-driven interfaces," said Ken Schneider, CEO, Adapx. "With our new speech and sketch interfaces for Google Earth, Replay, and CPOF, it's even easier for commanders to enter data into command and control, battlefield simulation, and C4ISR systems."
Adapx also provides Capturx Forms and GIS solutions to military and civilian teams for instantly capturing and sharing data on paper- and tablet-based forms and paper maps. The forms solutions automate data capture and sharing for both standard forms, such as SALUTE and SPOT reports, or custom forms created with Excel and hosted on SharePoint. Data is instantly aggregated in SharePoint or into a range of other back-end systems for immediate sharing, analysis, and decision making. Capturx solutions are included in such Programs of Record as the ENFIRE Reconnaissance and Surveying tool kit and have received high marks from the Army in JFCOM's Empire Challenge and from the Navy in Trident Spectre.
The complete set of Adapx Military Data Capture solutions will be on display in the Adapx booth (#1639) at AUSA. Attendees can also visit the Adapx booth to get a copy of a Defense Systems Magazine special commentary on Army Modernization written by Adapx Board Member, General Peter Chiarelli. "Today's modernization investments will have a huge impact on preparing for future wars, thereby reducing what has been the historical certainty of being unprepared for the next big threat to our national security," says General Chiarelli. Capturx Software from Adapx speeds data capture and collaboration by turning natural speech, sketch, and handwriting into actionable data in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, CRM, ERP, GIS, C2, C4ISR systems, and many other backend systems. By simply speaking and writing, teams get instant access to structured data collected on paper, touchscreens, mobile devices, and wall displays. A range of enterprises and agencies speed workflows and reduce risk by using Capturx to bypass data transcription from paper and cumbersome keyboard- and menu-driven interfaces. Adapx has strategic relationships with Microsoft, ESRI and In-Q-Tel, and works with standard digital pen technology from Anoto. Learn More: http://adapx.com and http://C2.adapx.com
