activCirk Achieves First Pass MMIC Success with AWR Software

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – June 20, 2013

activeCirk, a design house specializing in the design and test of complex, high-performance microwave monolithic integrated circuits (MMICs), relies on Microwave Office® software for verifying the stable operation of low-noise amplifiers.  It does so by integrating a database of device models at multiple bias points and computing the normalized determinant function (NDF) for each bias point to identify any potential for unloaded instability and loaded stability. “Microwave Office is unique in its ability to rapidly calculate the NDF and ensure first pass success,” shares Perry Macdonald, founder and technical director at activCirk.
