Synapse Design attends DVCon discussing proven, breakthrough solutions to design challenges

Boothvisitorslearn about solutions to cutting-edge verification issues from the worldwide leader in Design Services

San Jose, Calif. – February 19, 2014 – Synapse Design, the leading SOC design partner serving most of the Fortune 500 companies, today announced the Company will participate in DVCon, March 3-6 at the Doubletree in San Jose, Calif. Synapse Designwill be located in booth 401.

Synapse Design experts will enlighten booth visitorsabout advanced verification and modeling issues including virtual prototyping with SystemC/TLM 2.0, and discuss methods for connecting verification to transaction level modeling.Synapse Design engineers have helped architect and design the entire verification environment for many large, tier-one customers proving them to be experts in verification.

“There is a critical gap between RTL verification and systems level modeling, and Synapse Design has the expertise to help our customers bridge this gap,” said Charlie Kahle, Synapse Design’s CTO. “Our engineering teams have taken on this challenge by creating virtual platforms using transaction level models, and integrating these models into aSystemVerilog/UVM-based verification methodology. This allows us to develop a seamless solution for both advanced verification and early hardware/software prototyping. The result is faster time-to-market for our customers.”

“Over the past 18 months, we have completed 34 large SOCs and none required even one metal respin. Customers select us because they understand that first silicon success is critical,” said Satish Bagalkotkar, president and CEO.“Between respin costs and the potential lost opportunity, the impact can be crippling in today’s competitive environment.”
