Red Hen Systems' GeoVideo 1.1 Expands Video Support in the ESRI ArcGIS Mapping Environment

FORT COLLINS, Colo., July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Red Hen Systems, Inc., announces the release of GeoVideo 1.1, a pioneering extension for ESRI ArcGIS (versions 8.x and 9.x) that enables users to integrate spatially referenced video and stills into interactive maps. Red Hen Systems, an ESRI Business Partner, continues to enhance GeoVideo within its comprehensive portfolio of solutions for collecting and exploiting digital stills and geo-spatial video within GIS environments.

GeoVideo 1.1 offers support for indexing MPEG and Windows standard video formats, eliminating the need to create a DVD volume to import data. GeoVideo software enables users to geo-reference and map digital still images, video recordings, and audio to create multimedia maps that deliver clear pictures and precise locations of targeted geographical areas. Red Hen Systems offers several low-cost field solutions for encoding video with geo-referenced information using a patented technique, which preserves the integrity of the video through the editing process.
