Timing analysis is facing critical challenges in accuracy, runtime, and design capacity in 90-nanometer process technology and below. Incentia has enhanced TimeCraft to effectively address these challenges. In particular, Incentia has cooperated with NEC Electronics to develop location-based on-chip-variation features to resolve accuracy problems caused by statistical process variations in 90-nanometer designs. In addition, Incentia added a multi-task capability to TimeCraft to significantly speed up multi-corner and multi-mode analysis. These advanced features are now available to all of Incentia's TimeCraft customers.
"Timing analysis and signoff for nanometer designs are facing severe challenges in runtime, capacity, and particularly accuracy caused by statistical process variations," said Mr. Hiroshi Sakuma, General Manager, Design Engineering Division, Technology Foundation Dev. Op. Unit, NEC Electronics Corporation. "We have closely worked with Incentia to establish its TimeCraft as a timing signoff tool."
"NEC Electronics is one of the world leaders in electronics and semiconductors and has a very high standard for qualifying EDA tools for their signoff flows," said Ihao Chen, President & CEO of Incentia. "We are very pleased that TimeCraft has passed NEC Electronics' rigorous qualification process to become a standard signoff static timing analyzer for nanometer designs."
TimeCraft is a full-chip, gate-level static timing analyzer (STA). Its proven accuracy and rich features enable timing verification and signoff for all kinds of chip design applications. TimeCraft has demonstrated unparalleled advantages in runtime and capacity that dramatically reduce customers' total timing verification turnaround time for large designs.
Incentia Design Systems, Inc. is a leading provider of advanced timing and synthesis software that addresses the stringent requirements of runtime, design capacity, timing, area, design-for-testability, power consumption and signal integrity for multi-million-gate semiconductor designs. The company's products are in use at leading fabless IC design, systems, semiconductor and design service companies and have successfully been used to tape out numerous designs in different design applications, such as communications, networking, wireless, chipset, consumer electronics and multimedia.
