AmberCore Launches Amber IQ 2.6 With Advanced Google Earth Support

Ottawa, Canada, November 2, 2005 - AmberCore™ Software, the leading global provider of high performance spatial decision support systems, is pleased to announce the release of Amber iQ® 2.6 delivering advanced Google Earth functionality, AmberCore’s revolutionary 3D Block Model and significant new features for large data set processing.

Amber iQ 2.6 enhances its already strong support of the widely popular Google Earth application by allowing users to export both vector and raster data generated in Amber iQ to the Keyhole Markup Language (KML) format. Interactive support continues to accelerate allowing users to specify KML database fields accessible in Google Earth.

“Our work with Google compatibility continues to be driven by customers demanding to integrate Google Earth into their daily work flow,” said Martin Sendyk, President and CEO of AmberCore. “For example, we have developed the ability to automate the creation of maps in KML format. This really highlights our competitive advantage - the ability to quickly develop tools for customers on a robust and reliable platform.”

Amber iQ 2.6 now also features a revolutionary 3D Block Model viewer unique to GIS systems. Compared to traditional GIS products AmberCore’s probabilistic 3D Block Model allows users to view, manipulate and analyze data in a number of sophisticated new ways.

Amber iQ 2.6 also continues to expand its’ ability to efficiently store and process large data sets. “We see a huge opportunity to enable the use of LiDAR data within the GIS community,” said Sendyk. “Customers are telling us that they want to easily process integrate and analyze large LiDAR data sets in 2D and 3D, within a GIS. AmberCore is leading the way with a very fast and innovative product.”
