Developed and implemented by UAI in 2004, HUD employees and contractors in all 50 states can access data and manage property information using the centrally located service. The service displays the map location and associated information concerning all single-family properties within the U.S. that are eligible for re-sale by SFAM and its affiliated contractors.
HUD staff is also able to access system data to produce reports for management as well as fulfilling Congressional mandates.
Under the new contract approved September 29, 2006, UAI will continue hosting the current service, and expand it to provide limited public Web access to information regarding properties, non-profit partners and revitalization areas. UAI will also provide technical help desk support.
UAI will also provide a number of enhanced functionalities for HUD and contractor personnel who utilize the servickie on a daily basis to access and update property information, track property status and more effectively manage the disposition process.
Kirk Hanlin, Vice President of UAI’s Federal Business Unit, said the new contract is evidence of HUD’s faith in the Huntsville, AL company, and a testament to UAI’s vision of how GIS and the Web can be used to improve productivity at all levels of local, state and Federal government.
“We are truly thrilled to continue this relationship with HUD,” said Hanlin. “HUD can choose any company in the U.S. to work with. SFAM has demonstrated its trust in UAI based on our past performance for the agency in choosing UAI for award of this contract. We look forward to providing these enhanced services and continuing our hosting and help desk support efforts.”
