WhiteStar will be demonstrating the Enterprise databases at the ESRI Worldwide Business Partners Conference being held March 15-18, 2008, in Palm Springs, Calif.
The four new WhiteStar Enterprise ArcGIS Server products are –
- Enterprise Grid based on the U.S. Public Land Survey data in the WhiteStar Unlimited Grid Access (UGA) product,
- Enterprise Culture containing U.S. Census Bureau TIGER file data from the WhiteStar Unlimited Base Map Access (UBA) product,
- Enterprise Wells including all U.S. oil and gas well locations from the WhiteStar Unlimited Well Access (UWA) product,
- Enterprise DRG (Digital Raster Graphs) created from USGS 7.5-minute quads.
“We created the Enterprise ArcGIS Server product line for organizations that have enterprise-wide need for GIS data access,” said WhiteStar President Robert White. “These products contain all the land grid, cultural, and well location data needed to make a high-quality base map for any area in the country in a matter of minutes.”
The WhiteStar Enterprise ArcGIS Server products benefit companies whose personnel in the field and in remote offices need the flexibility to access the enterprise GIS to create accurate maps of anywhere in the United States so they can immediately respond to time critical opportunities. Instead of trying to track the vintage and the location of “postage-stamp-sized areas” of previously purchased datasets, customers have all of the latest update information for the nation available at their fingertips.
Based on the WhiteStar Unlimited Access products introduced in 2006, the Enterprise ArcGIS Server products offer built-in functionality that allows users to cookie cut an area of interest in any shape and size and export it to their GIS application. The Enterprise products are being offered on a subscription basis with updates provided regularly by WhiteStar. Clients may order the Enterprise ArcGIS Server products containing one or more databases. All data layers are rectified for precise overlaying and alignment.
Enterprise Grid is a seamless digital mosaic of land survey and fitted state and county boundaries covering all public land survey states, Texas, and Offshore State and Federal Waters in the Gulf of Mexico. This database is the basis for all foundational digital mapping including ownership or leasehold maps, well locations and seismic data.
Enterprise Culture is a seamless nationwide digital mosaic of base map information layers from U.S. Census Bureau TIGER Files (with optional TeleAtlas upgrades). Designed for any geospatial mapping project that requires an accurate digital base map, it contains 42 layers of cultural features including political boundaries, roads, airports, water bodies, railroads, power lines and many others.
Enterprise Wells puts nationwide well data into the customer’s hands to create regional or statewide base maps quickly, inexpensively, and privately, any time, without having to order individual data sets from individual states. This digital map-based product contains well header information for oil and gas wells in the U.S., including Alaska, state and federal waters, and the Gulf of Mexico. Users can click on any single well on the map screen to view its data. Data provided for each well varies by state, but all files contain such details as well name, API number, and elevation. There are about 20 attributes listed for each well, and individual wells are tagged by one of 20-30 status codes. Most data sets also provide the formation top name and bottom hole location information.
Enterprise DRG is a nationwide Digital Raster Graph stitched together from USGS 7.5-minute quad maps and projected in the NAD27 coordinate system.
