The re-architecting of PocketCAD for the Windows CE .NET operating system allows for a new range of opportunities for PocketCAD developers. Commercial developers will now be able to embed Arc Second's industry-leading mobile CAD technology into their own mobile applications. The new SDK allows developers to work in a variety of languages including Visual Basic and C#. Several new capabilities have also been added to the already-powerful PocketCAD SDK.
"OEMs building mobile devices are looking for high-quality software that enables a great end-user experience," said Scott Horn, director of the Embedded and Appliance Platforms Group at Microsoft Corp. "Arc Second's upcoming PocketCAD Software Development Kit coupled with Windows CE .NET enables customers to take advantage of CAD capabilities on their smart mobile Windows Powered devices,"
Edward Barrientos, President and C.E.O. of Arc Second, comments, "By combining requests from our development community with advances in technology, Arc Second is able to demonstrate its commitment to the PocketCAD developer community and customers." Mr. Barrientos continues, "Developers need to know that the products in which they invest are poised for the future and are based on industry leading technology."
