Trelligence Affinity Lite for Residential is Released for General Availability

Software can be purchased from the Trelligence website

HOUSTON, Texas, October 21, 2002 - TrelligenceTM, Inc., a design/build software and solutions company for the architecture, interior design, and construction industries, today announced the general release of Trelligence Affinity Lite for Residential.

Trelligence Affinity Lite for Residential enables architects, designers, and building professionals to dramatically increase residential project profitability and support best practices workflows. With Trelligence Affinity Lite, true project collaboration among the designer, design team, and client is made a reality. Project requirements are captured at every step of the design process, so the client and designer specifications are not lost. The Space Planner module can be used to view several different room configurations, square footage allocations, and special needs requests before final drawings are executed. After the project requirements are captured, modifications are tracked to support time and cost allocations. Once the building design is complete, the project can be validated between the bubble diagram and the client requirements, checking any violations such as exceeded square footage or budget. The approved design can be exported to a preferred CAD application, such as AutoCAD , for final drawings. The entire process has been benchmarked to save ten times the man-hours during the programming and design process, compared to the traditional process of programming on butter paper and completing the building design in a CAD system.

"The mission of Trelligence is to overcome the disconnects often encountered during the design/build process. These process inefficiencies include costly reworks, poor communication, and low Home Owner/Developer satisfaction rates. At Trelligence, it is our focus to provide an evolutionary solution that leverages existing processes and software investments -- as a result, the learning curve and adoption of our software for daily use is effortless," said Trelligence President and CEO, Larry Ciscon.

Features of Trelligence Affinity Lite for Residential:

  • Begin a project by capturing project requirements with the intuitive, graphic Home Owner Questionnaire
  • View project requirements organized by project, lot, story, room, and detail
  • Use the Space Planning module for bubble or square diagramming to evaluate several layout scenarios before finalizing the project
  • See violation alerts when project requirements are not being met
  • Access project details, throughout project programming, from an always-open window
  • Print floor plans and the lot layout for Home Owner approval
  • Generate a report listing all project specifications Export a DXF file, accepted by most CAD applications, to complete the detailed drawings

Trelligence products are based on its patent-pending Applied Functional Knowledge (AFK) platform. AFK provides a flexible framework for storing and using Functional Knowledge about a project. Using AFK, Trelligence products can easily capture and track project requirements and information. The information captured in the AFK enables Trelligence to provide more efficient and accurate scheduling, estimation, supply chain, and subcontractor management than is currently available. More significantly, AFK enables applications to provide real-time feedback on the appropriateness of a design to any client or external parameters such as building codes or energy efficiency. AFK is the foundation of the first Trelligence product, Trelligence Affinity Lite for Residential.

    Pricing and Availability

Trelligence Affinity Lite for Residential is generally available and can be purchased for $750 per seat and downloaded directly from the Trelligence website at www.trelligence.com.
