Brisbane, Australia — February 08, 2010 — Geoimage is pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa Dykes as Geoimage’s new Sales Manager - High Resolution Imagery. Lisa previously worked for Geoimage between 2002 and 2006 and we welcome her back to manage sales of DigitalGlobe, GeoEye and other high resolution imagery. With the ever increasing number of high resolution satellites available for commercial imagery capture, including the new WorldView-2 satellite, Lisa will prove a valuable member of the Geoimage Customer Service Team and allow us to continue offering our clients the same personal service as the spatial industry continues to grow.
Currently based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, but operating as part of Geoimage’s Brisbane office, Lisa will be coordinating all of Geoimage’s high resolution satellite imagery sales and supporting all Geoimage offices, including Sydney and Perth.
Lisa has an MSc degree in environmental studies and 15 years experience in remote sensing with the last 8 years dedicated to managing and coordinating sub-metre satellite sales at both Geoimage and AAMHatch.
Lisa’s appointment sees her working closely with Keiko Hamam our Business Development Manager. In this arrangement, Lisa will be coordinating high resolution satellite sales with Keiko managing Satellite Business Development and Marketing activities for Geoimage.
- Geoimage is also pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Maddox as a GeoSpatial Analyst based in our Brisbane office.
Chris is a UK national and will be completing his Masters in Geographical Information Science at University of Queensland next semester. Chris has worked in the UK as a GIS Technician at Weather Services International, as an Information and Mapping Assistant for Scottish Borders Council and has undertaken casual work with UQ, Queensland’s Department of Environment and Resource Management and with Parsons Brinckerhoff since arriving in Australia.
Chris will work closely with the GeoSpatial Solutions team offering analytical support to our clients. Chris will be part time at Geoimage while completing his studies.
- Mike Peters has also changed roles and is now Geoimage’s new Technical Manager. With the ever increasing demand from the spatial industry for new innovative solutions, Mike will be dedicating more time to research and development to ensure that Geoimage remains at the cutting edge of spatial technologies. In this role, Mike will be responsible for ICT systems, which includes maintenance and technical support as well as advanced satellite image processing.
