Rhiza Labs Releases Major Upgrade To Its Cloud-Based Location Intelligence Software

May 13, 2010 -- Pittsburgh, PA - Rhiza Labs announces a significant upgrade to its industry-leading location intelligence software Rhiza Insight. Rhiza Insight is cloud-based mapping software with deep analytical tools that a variety of corporations and nonprofits use for geospatial analysis of markets, demographics, trends, land use and assets.

The new features help customers script and develop robust, powerful Google Earth tours of geospatial data.  Customers can now add locations to Google Earth, script automatic moves from one location to another, add video, photos and text descriptions to specific locations within Google Earth, and add background music to set the tone and mood of tours.

"Our customers can now easily tell their compelling, location-specific stories using Rhiza Insight and Google Earth tours," said Josh Knauer, CEO of Rhiza Labs. "The better you tell your story, the faster you will change minds and achieve your goals."

Other new features in the upgrade to Rhiza Insight allow customers to add richly styled info-bubbles to their maps and Google Earth Tours, deepening the ability to drill down for more information on locations. New mobile data collection and crowdsourcing tools enable customers to add or edit records directly, and publish crowd-sourced contributions of data, maps, overlays, and Google Earth tours in just a few steps.  New zoom-level features make it easy to customize the display of data on Rhiza Insight’s interactive maps based on the zoom level of the user.

"We've also expanded our import capabilities to not only support CSV, Geo-TIFF and ESRI Shapefile formats, but we’ve also made it easy for customers to import their KML and GPX (waypoints, routes, and tracks) data directly into Rhiza Insight," Knauer added. "For the non-technical, that simply means it's easy to get your mapping location data into Rhiza's online mapping software so you can create cool maps that give you results and conclusions you can actually act on."
