Interoperability Tech Talks Proposal Deadline Extended!
Proposal Abstracts due Thursday, July 15

Due to the vast amount of interest from USGIF members for the Interoperability Tech Talks, the Interoperability Outreach Subcommittee has decided to extend the deadline for proposals to July 15.

Have you battled through learning, developing and implementing services and solutions using Geospatial open standards?  Do you have lessons learned, best practices or just tips and tricks for standing up an OGC compliant Web Processing Service? Share your experience and knowledge by submitting to present at the first Interoperability Tech Talks at the USGIF GEOINT 2010 Symposium, held on Nov. 1-4, in New Orleans, La. Discussions will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday during the GEOINT 2010 Symposium.

Abstracts for your proposal are now due Thursday, July 15
    by 11:59pm EDT .

The purpose of Tech Talks is to offer technical presentations on topics of interest related to standards based interoperability within the GEOINT 2010 agenda.  These presentation opportunities will only be open to USGIF members as an opportunity to collaborate and educate colleagues on technical topics relevant to their domain area.

While this is not considered a marketing presentation, it is an excellent opportunity for individuals and companies to be recognized for work and expertise in the standards based interoperability domain. Acknowledgments for presentations will be highlighted throughout GEOINT 2010 program material.

    Guidelines

    • Proposals must be in English only and limited to 15 minutes
    • Only USGIF Members are eligible to submit

Abstracts and then presentations will be approved by the designated subcommittee . A common template will be used across all presentations. Proposals will not be accepted if all steps of the submission process are not completed.

    Selection Criteria

It is the goal of this call for presentations to develop an agenda of diverse and informative topics related to standards-based interoperability. Presentations focused on communicating or educating the audience about specific technical topics regarding interoperability services and standards will be given priority consideration.  The review panel will evaluate proposals according to the following criteria:
