Tensing celebrates a quarter century in business

Rockville, MD.— December 29, 2010 —Tensing just celebrated its 25th year anniversary this past month. Established in 1985 the company got its start in geo spatial systems. Since then, Tensing has evolved to include complete mobile solutions in its portfolio. Today Tensing offers its customers a unique map based field service solution that includes scheduling, dispatch, track & trace, mobile GIS, and mobile workflow.

"In 25 years Tensing has grown into an international organization and a leader in innovative mobile and geographical solutions. We are proud of this accomplishment. Our loyal customers and dedicated staff have helped us achieve this milestone," said Jan Scheurwater, CEO of Tensing.

Tensing GIS Solutions

Tensing GIS solutions are based on GIS products from vendors such as ESRI, Intergraph and GE Energy (Smallworld) and proprietary technology. Tensing is a leader in control room GIS, mobile GIS, One Call/Locate Services and web GIS.

Tensing Mobility

The Tensing Mobility Platform is a map-based solution for all mobile processes across an organization. It can automate the planning and scheduling of work (both long cycle and short cycle), dispatch work, monitor work order status, and close out work orders, all in real time. This full cycle solution effectively closes the loop between the back office and field workers.

Tensing solutions are used worldwide by Utility, Field Service, Transportation & Logistics, Government, and Emergency Services organizations. Our clients include DHL, Washington Gas, Cox Communications, Duke Energy, National Grid, ASSA ABBLOY, Delta Utilities, Nuon, and Sydney Water.
