Apr 20, 2015 -- Shooting Star Chase is a leading children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families.
Whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months or years, the Shooting Staff Chase staff are there to make every moment count. They support families from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care.
Their bespoke support is free of charge to families and available 365 days a year. Care service includes short breaks at their two hospices, Hospice at Home, day care, symptom management, end-of-life care, bereavement care and a comprehensive range of therapies and support groups for the whole family.
It costs £9.5 million a year just to maintain their current level of care. Around 10% of that income comes from government funding, so they rely on supporters’ to keep the service running. And they know there are many more families desperate for this vital support, so it’s crucial they continue to raise more funds to provide more care.
Quarry One Eleven CEO and Founder explains why his company has started supporting Shooting Star Chase;
"A number of years I was introduced to some of the Shooting Star Chase staff. I was blown away by the dedication and strength of these remarkable people and subsequently organised some fund raising events for the Hampton hospice.
I'm delighted that Quarry One Eleven is now supporting Shooting Star Chase and that we will increase our contributions year on year. I urge everyone, whether in business or on a personal level to do the same for their local charities. Most are desperate for support."
