Cities Revealed™ covers 62% of British population

Summer 2005 flying produces 13 000 high resolution aerial photographs

December 19, 2005: Cambridge – The GeoInformation® Group, publishers of Cities Revealed™ aerial photography (www.citiesrevealed.com), announces its most successful summer of flying across the United Kingdom. This continued programme of updates reinforces its commitment to maintaining its position as the top provider of the most up to date high resolution aerial imagery archive available.

With over 13 000 photographs obtained this year, The GeoInformation Group has now captured more cities and boroughs, at high resolution, than any other provider, and as a result two out of three British residents now has access to high resolution imagery of their home.

Amongst the many areas captured are; Edinburgh, Coventry, Dundee, Greater Manchester, Hull, Merseyside, Swansea & Bridgend, and Tyne & Wear (including Sutherland). Many areas have been orthorectified and are currently available for purchase through the Cities Revealed Online system http://www.citiesrevealed.com.

Whilst flying the Prestwick area The GeoInformation Group captured Air Force One on the airport runway during the G8 conference, hosted by the United Kingdom in July this year, making this image set truly one of a kind.
