MWH Soft Unveils H2OMAP SWMM Designer

H2OMAP SWMM Designer automatically selects the most cost-effective solution to flooding and pollution management, using a combination of pipe slope and size, storage, pumping and new piping strategies to eliminate unwanted sewer overflows and achieve targeted system performance requirements. Performance criteria include maximum allowable depth-to-diameter ratio, minimum and maximum pipe velocities, and maximum head loss for force mains. The software gives engineers the ultimate tool for producing the best design and improvement alternatives with minimum effort and maximum cost savings. Its comprehensive capabilities will greatly assist wastewater utilities in planning and designing reliable systems and optimizing their capital improvement programs - leading to healthier communities, cleaner beaches, and fish and shellfish that are safer to eat.

The breadth and depth of MWH Soft's product line is unmatched in the industry, providing customers the unique ability to manage, operate and maintain their hydraulic infrastructure supported by the most advanced network modeling and optimization solutions on the market. Other H2OMAP SWMM Suite modules include:

Dry Weather Flow Allocator: a module that automatically computes, tracks and assigns dry weather flows generated by various customer categories, based on land use and development characteristics, population, sanitary service areas, parcel data, or meter data.

Calibrator: a Genetic Algorithm-based module that automatically adjusts sewer and drainage system parameters to match collected flow, depth, and velocity measurements for both single event and long term continuous dynamic simulations. Parameters can include any combination of subcatchment, soil, aquifer, RDII, and conduit properties.

"Simply put, Designer makes our H2OMAP SWMM Suite urban drainage modeling solution the best choice for any utility and engineering organization looking to optimize sewer systems design and operation at maximum cost savings," said J. Erick Heath, PE, Vice President of Sales and Client Relations for MWH Soft. "After listening to our customers, we've delivered a broad set of new, optimal design capabilities, and will continue to make sewer systems modeling and management easier and more approachable to the wastewater industry. This critical solution will have an immediate impact on our customers' productivity and performance, and we're very pleased to bring it to the market."
