City of Woodbury, MN, Purchases CarteGraph Software

Dubuque, Iowa—July 31, 2006—CarteGraph Systems, Inc., is proud to announce that the City of Woodbury, MN, chose CarteGraph software for a cost-effective, integrated asset management solution. Woodbury joins the hundreds of other entities utilizing CarteGraph software to achieve better efficiencies in their organizations.

Woodbury (pop. 57,000), located outside of St. Paul, selected WORKdirector for a city-wide work management system. The CarteGraph software will replace a custom-built system that tracked equipment and labor hours for the city.

“We selected CarteGraph because it hit the needs of our Public Works and Parks Departments head on,” said Robert James, Woodbury’s IT Director. “WORKdirector is just the first phase of what could be multiple phases. We have several customized software solutions in house to maintain some of our assets and I can see the city over time migrating to other CarteGraph modules.”

With 40-50 Public Works employees needing access to the software on a daily basis, the city thought it would need as many licenses. CarteGraph, working closely with the city to understand how the software would be used, was able to get the same results with 15 licenses –saving the city time and money. The city is very excited to get up and running and is positive their employees are just as excited.

“Our city employees are very computer savvy, having used a computer system for some time,” commented James. “I believe that we will have success with this product because of that.”

Woodbury will also use WORKdirector to interface with a citizen service request system by GovPartner. Constituents can submit an online request through GovPartner’s RequestPartner and the city’s Public Works and Parks Maintenance staff will be able to create a work order seamlessly in CarteGraph’s WORKdirector. The citizen will then receive an email response when the work order is complete.

With CarteGraph software, Woodbury is finding a better way to serve its constituents, while maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of its organization. For more information on CarteGraph, visit
