Goldsboro, NC – Geographic Technologies Group, Inc. (GTG) announced today that the City of Opelika, Alabama has procured additional products from GTG’s LG GIS software suite. The City will be implementing additional licenses of LGviewer software to expand the City’s existing LG platform which already includes other GIS applications including: LGcrimes, LGfires, LGmobile, LGaddress, and LGdispatch.
LGviewer provides a set of GIS tools in a simple to use desktop application. LGviewer allows for visualization of land management information. Local government professionals have long desired the ability to map and analyze the spatial distribution of all data that is tracked within their data storage. The LGviewer software is designed to leverage database data along with existing GIS data to provide a powerful set of tools for visualization and analysis.
Curtis Hinton, CEO of GTG, stated that; “GTG and Opelika have been working together for many years to implement GIS. John Findley, IT Director, has had a forward looking vision of where the City should be in regards to integration. He has been instrumental in making this vision a reality. Mr. Findley has embraced the integration capabilities of the LG products and has seen Opelika go from disparate systems to an integrated GIS. We look forward to working with the Opelika team to continue to move their GIS to the enterprise.”
The City’s continuing utilization of GTG’s LG products highlights the value of our products as an integrated and comprehensive set of GIS solutions that leverage the City’s investment in their current applications.
